Power System Control & Protection Lab

Texas A&M University College of Engineering

Digital Simulators Lab

Power system digital simulators can be used to perform acceptance and application testing of various intelligent electronic devices used in modern substations. Typical use is application testing of system protection using transients. Our lab is equipped with various types of digital simulators including configurations with high-power output amplifiers, low-voltage, and portable test sets. In addition, the lab is equipped with protective relays and other IEDs from vendors such as SEL, GE, Cooper, and others.
